day v.- those are exquisite. thanks for sharing them. some i've read already, some are new to me, and some were written by poet before she was so rudely interrupted. and... as she won't tell you, because she's too polite... those are analogies & similes, not metaphors. <simile> semantics aside, since you shared... i'll do the same. here's something i found in my email today from the guy i'm sailing across the gulf of mejico with 54 daze from now: From: Captain Basukas Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 10:33:21 EST Subject: Wednesday To: elpolvo Today is Wed-nes-day... can you explain the spelling of this word to me? It makes no sense to me. You would think I had other things more important on my mind than this but it has been bugging me for years. According to our records there are only 54 bottles of beer on the wall. Captain Courageous i consider myself blessed to have such "off the wall" acquaintances. -46 bottles off, 54 bottles on.
