Their opposition to the tax cuts was a terrible policy move

Amazing to me they don't get it.

All that's needed of a successful opposition party is concentration on spending, accountability and priorities. There's enough damage that can be done to fill a phone book of pork-barrel projects by the GOP, and insider profiteering at the highest levels, which damage the economy and reduce jobs, and unnecessary military aggression.

Of course, the GOP tends to help create the Dem's identity for them, which is a neat trick.

I like Will Roger's line:

"I'm not a member of any organized political party.

I'm a Democrat."
