Don't blame Jefferson and Washington, just the market price of racially defined really cheap labor, offspring and all, for ever, a really good invention. Just think about it, any old one would still be more worth than a couple of mercedes these days and Jim Crow would have had little reasons to become so famous, visually out in the fields, earlier King Cotton and Now King Oil. Maybe some presidential arabic-style-assassinations would have been kind of unnecessary, who knows, even South Africa would have been resolved earlier??
