that is like asking why romans saw the world differently from the gauls and goths. when you are the Center of the Universe, you aren't like everybody else. and the US is, in our time, the Center of the Universe. imo it's that simple.

ignorance and arrogance...most americans don't know what goes on beyond its borders, partly due to the u.s. media and for the most part they could care less...but i agree, from my perspective canadians have a better outlook.
