I agree with the point but the clown comes to precicely the wrong conclusion!

The public has nothing but distaste for gold and love of equities.
When that reverses his conclusion will be correct.

I am assume his point is that gold sucks but he really never says that explicitly that I saw.

And with close to (estimated) 8.0 million Americans now unemployed, it is hard to see how things will improve over the near term. Few conditions create as much hardship and frustration as does unemployment and desperate men do desperate deeds.

I recall the crime statistics of the last decade or so showing much improvement, and wondered when people would figure out it was due to the boom. Now that the boom has been lowered, I expect crime rates to reverse with a vengeance, esp. since there has been so much redistribution of wealth.
