I haven't seen any perversion. First, promoting democracy is not a reason to go to war. The usual methods are diplomatic, essentially. Second, although it is desirable to change the regime in Iraq, it is because Saddam is a neo- fascist dictator with aspirations to advance his nation and the Arab people by means of WMD and irregular warfare, i.e., the use of terror. Democracy is a bonus. Third, if there were not a narrow window of opportunity, before Saddam has much of a retaliatory capability, the Administration would not be so urgent on the matter......
