possibly so.... I have always said that American automobiles need a great deal of improvement on the suspension design, indeed their "body-roll" (transfer of weight) is quite scary at high speeds. does that justify for me to seek a sleezeball lawyer to "set me up" for the next three lifetimes ? i do not think so... (hmmm maybe I should get off my high moral horse and become a sleezeball myself...) -ggg

in a way, this supports somehow that the Firestone 500 issue (this is way back in the 70's --not the recent issue), was not entirely to blame for the number of accidents that that tire became famous for. If I remember well... Firestone took a big hit from that issue.

I am not opposed to a system that punishes the genuinely incompetent and/or negligent... but there has to be a limit to "punishments" otherwise the system allows for the possibility of what we are witnessing today.
