Since I don't think there is reasonable evidence to consider him a racist I don't consider him a racist. Its not even a case like Lott where the evidence for racism exists but is not quite a smoking gun, with Pickering the evidence amounts to almost nothing. Since the evidence amounts to almost nothing I give it almost no consideration. Leaving that to the side he has a solid record and to be a very good candidate.
