HUI's close...as noted.& MSFT.

Re the HUI the close was less weak than has recently been the case and as I had anticipated when writing the original post and in that regard it's a positive....the last hour was down, however...not much, not a big deal, agree...

...I also concur with your observation, too much can be made of the small squiggles, and though I look at alot of them I'm paying less attention and more to the primary trend and weeklies.

MSFT won't be giving the SM much lift tomorrow if the after hours are any indication...weakish revenues, flat forecast didn't overcome "beating the street", a stock split and A DIVIDEND...Seems to me they threw everything in there to try and balance the weak look forward...Stock is off about 3% in after market trading. Seems to be the trend to see these big caps after earnings....doesn't bode well for the market itself....imho
