Nortel can do a 2 for 1 split too. I heard Lynton is also thinking a 3-for-2 split on Lucent. They can do a 2-for-1 because of $1.00 listing requirement. <g> vt, I agree with you. I am not impressed by the gold stocks today as most are below their recent high but I think the surprise is still favor the upside.

IAC. Absolutely a hoot! Used to work on W.S. and you would not believe some of the stuff I saw go down. Just amazing hose jobs on the public. And we were choir boys compared to what's gone on the last 10 or 12 years.<lol> Basically, as wealth and financial power has become vastly more concentrated by: 1. The parade of mega mergers which make the economy more easy for a large central government to influence, and manipulate. 2. The common CEO practice (with the ubiquitous BOD rubber stamp<g>) of skimming all or most of profits from many major corporations. Meanwhile the captive media, accountants, lawyers and corrupt politicians keep the public unaware their equity ownership of these companies is being pilfered on the grand scale by what IMHO is the greatest institutionalized embezelment caper in economic history!! But when you own the politicians and the financial media is in your pocket? You can be outrageously brazen, because you know absolutely NOTHING will EVER be done to stop you unless.... You step on the wrong toes AKA violating the prime taboo against turning on fellow members of the eco/political ruling elite. Or.... The entire political and economic system collapses completely.
