-- After the Bell-Microsoft, IBM sag --

(Adds Microsoft, updates prices)
NEW YORK, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Technology stocks sagged in
after-hours trading on Thursday as investors scanned through a
slew of earnings reports from marquee names like Microsoft
Corp. <MSFT.O> and International Business Machines Corp.
<IBM.N>.
Microsoft's shares took a hit in the extended hours
session, falling to $54.60 from $55.35 even though the software
company posted a better quarterly profit as a new software
licensing plan lifted revenues.
Microsoft also announced a two-for-one stock split and said
that it would begin paying a dividend.
IBM's shares fell after the computer giant said sales of
services and computer hardware rose, even as quarterly profit
fell for the sixth quarter in a row.
Shares of IBM traded at $84.45 in the after-hours session,
up from their close on the New York Stock Exchange at $86.05.
Shares of eBay Inc. <EBAY.O> also got a boost after the Web
auctioneer said its quarterly profit tripled from a year
earlier on higher sales. EBay rose to $71.95 from $71.25 at
Thursday's close.
No. 2 network equipment maker Juniper Networks Inc.
<JNPR.O> lost ground even though the company posted a
fourth-quarter profit and higher revenues. Juniper sagged to
$8.81 in after-hours trading from $9.23 at Thursday's close.
Sun Microsystems Inc. <SUNW.O> slipped modestly after the
computer maker reported its largest net loss ever, taking more
than $2 billion in charges, chiefly for investment losses. Its
shares eased to $3.55 from $3.70 at Thursday's close.
The Nasdaq 100 after-hours indicator was down 0.7 percent.

Hi Yu,

The split it's not good because :

Presently, the shares Outside is 5,346,450t.

If the stock split 2/1, the Shares up to 10,692,900t.

I know the share price drop 50% but the slice pie will be thin for the shareholders.
