Wasn't there a copy of the original leaked from France or somewhere?

It would be interesting to see that, if anyone knows of a link.

I recall seeing a list of US corporations that sold war materiel to Iraq, with the blessing of Bush I, illegally of course. That's certainly at least one likely reason for suppression from the American people.

First, I seem to recall that only the generally distributed report was edited, other parties on the Security Council and in the Secretary General's office had full copies. Second, there are often good reasons for secrecy in matters concerning security. Third, granted that anyone can lie, on balance I trust an American administration far more than a bloody dictatorship. Fourth, I have known for a long time that terrorism and rogue states were the next big threats to the United States, as did anyone following relevant "wonk" journals, so it is no surprise to me that we are where we are. All of you are speaking out of ignorance, trying to puzzle out something that is no puzzle, but has long been a big security concern.......
