<softie is the last great Defended Stock in the market. it ain't going down in titanic style.> yes .Softie has massive support between 51 and 52, softie generally never cracks until the last leg of a major sell-off when sellers are selling MSFT to raise cash.
This at a time one does substantially better shorting weak fish as the the underlying market folds well before the NDX as they prop the heavy weights.
So here we need watch the underlying to see if we are cracking.
The dividend amount is not significant but they are going to pound it to sell stock. Look at this carrot they were tangling to all at the CC <<"In looking at the dividend we looked at Dow 30 companies, we looked at other tech companies and we feel that what will be over $850 million for our first dividend is a significant amount of money and a meaningful dividend," he said. "As we go forward, we'll look at what our legal environment and risk profile will look like. What does R&D look like. What do significant other uses of cash look like. And then we'll review the dividend ballpark. It's a good place to start.">>
One thing about MSFT it is really one the true monster companies of all history. The only thing that can break it down would be a the Global market breaks down in to the Wild West and countries just pirate the hell of it and "thumb their noses" at MSFT:)
Even i realize that i might have to give in and go to the 2000 and end my "protest":)
All this is leading to MSFT generally jumps 15-20% off it lows within 4 to 5 trading days at a capitulation low. But it's up move is so explosive off its' low one need estimate a GTC price for calls and stock price so you are getting filled during that time of sell -sell-sell, and that might last but 1 hr.
