jj looking at the map of iraq, if U.S. makes the big move from Kuwait without having a 2nd front in Turkey this could play out in an ugly fashion. I am thinking U.S., even if they went max build up U.S. would accept the the EXILE card as long as it occurs at a mandatory date, such as 3/1/2003, as a ballpark figure. U.S. surely have offers you can't refuse for Turkish Government but the overwhelming 97% opposition of Turkish population to the U.S. using Turkey as a 2nd front launch point is an issue that may not go away. One thing, if we commence this and AlQueda(and the groups assimilatating into it) don't make a fireworks display of terror, Al Queda is now mouth and no action. But we simply don't know. i still remain thinking we had the moral high ground in 1991(Saddam and his Baath Party cohorts were on a rampage of the their own making) and we blew it by not removing the regime then. I still see a Pandora's Box potential here. U.S. best win the SQUEEZE PLAY and squeeze Saddam and his regime into exile,imo, or this is could turn into the proverbial quagmire. They say the White House itself has broken into two camps with Bush in the middle. Max
