They have not found any weapons yet, have they now?

Ooops...follow the news? 12 undeclared CW warheads discovered yesterday.

If they got hostile and attacked (or threatened to attack) others - something they have not done in the past decade.

Ooops!! Hundreds of incidents of shots fired and other aggressive action toward US and coalition aircraft in the No Fly zones....

zonder,

I think you're wrong on this one. From the US side, building and possessing WMD is enough cause to dismantle this regime. The very act of possession of these weapons themselves allows the Saddam regime to sell them to forces hostile to the US. Saddam would have to be very stupid to threaten his neighbours with conventional weapon in his current state, but he has not destroyed these weapons and their delivery mechanism, imho, he has not stopped development of biological and chemical weapons and has in fact tried but failed to obtain nukes. IMHO, I have no doubt he would be very happy to give chemical or biological weapons to anyone who promises to do his dirty work in downtown LA or Washington. Do you doubt this?

His regime is in noncompliance. The UN security council resolution 1441 is very clear on this aspect.

The UN resolution 1441 is also very clear in the burden of proof here. The language in fact is as strong as it gets when referring to noncompliance and deception from the saddam regime.

I think until there is clear evidence that the current regime is disarmed, there is every reason to go to war with the top 100 or 120 or so leaders of iraq and those who would still be crazy enough to support them.
