I'm looking for ideas on the SINGLE BEST gold mining company - one that represents a decent combination of growth at a reasonable price. Perhaps GFI - forward PE looks around 18. If gold drives higher, I think that drops farther. They seem to have fairly low debt, too.

I want to increase my gold exposure further on the next dip, and I need to have the target(s) fully researched before that time. So far, I don't like the funnymentals on several that frequently come up on this thread. Lots of debt and high price to cash flow, price to book.

Ideas?

reap, Actually, my fellowship came from big insurance cos. And I don't think the kid did much to buy the buildings, etc. And state schools have proven they can build buildings just as nice if they get at the robber barons' cash before they can give it away. <g>
