You're now asserting there are tons of folk who think like this guy. Stereotypes abound in that comment, Bill. Bad ones. The guy sounded to me like a True Believer of the Pacifist/Chomskyite school. Pacifist, as in: Dropping bombs is BAD. Case Closed. Chomskyite, in the dripping hatred and contempt for the US of A as the font of all the world's evil, combined with a refusal to even acknowledge the nature of the Saddam Hussein regime. Reminiscent of Chomsky's immediate reaction to 9/11: that it was not as bad as Clinton's bombing the pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum. Now, I hope there are not "tons" of these Pacifist/Chomskyites running around. But there are quite a few of them, and boy are they noisy. I expect to hear quite a bit from this contingent in this weekend's anti-war marches.
