You have not answered my two questions.

YOU SAID: Of course there is movement. But is that life?"

I SAID: Not in and of itself. But it is a SIGN of existence in what can be called "manifested existence" , which arises from one continuous field variously known as:

-- Real God
-- Truth
-- Reality
-- Love-bliss
-- Happiness

The metaphor is bubbles arising from the sea, existing for a time, going back to the sea, re-arising again, etc
(manifested existence). Many kinds of bubbles. Many sizes. All conscious (at some level or another). All considering themselves separate (even down to the particle level).

You don't see from whence the particle appears because you don't see the "sea".

Patti Smith in a rock song of 20 or so years ago called it
"the sea of possibilities"

Gene-splicing etc that "doesn't work" is an example of an
experiment missing the infusion of life. You will not find any self-respecting gene consciousness-being choosing to inhabit a defective body. And choice IS involved. Not the complicated choices that humans make but the simple choice of "live in that body or not"

NEW COMMENT FROM ME: If what you are asking is "what is life?" I would answer that by using the old saying:
"we are atoms in the body of God"

where:

we = everything living
and
everything living = (every seemingly separate person) + (every seemingly separate thing) + (the seemingly empty field in which every person and thing arises) + (the light emanated by all the preceding)

and

God = Consciousness + Energy + a great deal more that we do not understand

or

God = Light

or endless other constructions.

If you want me to clarify further I will dig out some quotes from my Teacher, Adi Da, which are much more descriptive.

Gotta go for the moment, but I will attempt to answer your
remaining question(s) when I return.

Namaste!

Jim
