I'd love to know precisely how far afield from Release 99 standards that DoCoMo has wandered during this past rather desperate year.

Second only to that, I'd love a peek at their private projections for required cell station density and costs for loaded network conditions (not the rosy CAPEX pap that they've fed the public to date).

Then again, will they ever win sufficient subscribers for it to matter?

China Unicom added 785,000 CDMA subscribers during December to bring their total to 4.491 million subs. This was the first month where CDMA growth outpaced GSM growth (773,000 new subs).
