Tim, you are smarter than this so why the bs. It doesn't matter whether you up the expenses, or cut the income the effect is still the same.......a shortfall.

Its not BS its an important distinction.

The result might be the same but the thing itself is different. You where calling the tax cut "spending", and it is simply not. Calling it that is innacurate.

I don't think that tax cuts are bad but even if I did I would still dinstiguish between two different bad things rather then thinking well they are all bad (or they all cause a shortfall) so we can call them the same thing.

Not this missile program........its been dead for years. And its not just any missile program.......its one that will cost billions.

Specific SDI programs have come and gone. The SDI program as a whole has been around since the 80s. Yes it will cost billions, but per year at least in the short run (meaning in the next two years before GW's 1st term is up, or even in the next 6) it will be a very tiny part of the budget. The big money, if it is ever spent, would be more then a decade from now when you try to put a fully active and effective system up and the maintance and improvements cost for that system. We can argue if that money will be well spent but the argument would have little to do with the current defict situation.

See above.

See above :)

But also even if the point was valid listing it seperatly (i.e "He is cutting taxes and he is pushing this new $600bil stimulus package). Is counting one point as two.
