I would dread the day and pity the president who engages a war on pure speculation

As tek said, there is no need; there is quite enough evidence when Al Qaeda and Iraq are considered as separate threats. Still, I would be surprised if there were not real connections between them. My enemy's enemy is my friend is the oldest of rules in the Mideast.
