As most of you are aware, before picking a stock to mess

with, one should check out the fundies (fundamentals) and

the TA (Technical analysis). One could read the company

annual report , but quite frankly that is boring, and I

cannot understand the mumbo and the jumbo. It’s a good

thing to read if you can’t sleep at night.

Using a KISS (Keep it simple s) type approach is better. A

simple approach is to use the IBD (Investor’s Business

Daily newspaper ). I put that in ( ) just in case there is

a new kid on the block who never heard of it, like we all

were at one time. The IBD has tables that rates the

stocks. On a scale of one to 99 the EPS (earnings per

share) is rated. A company could have earnings of .04

cents a share this QTR as compared to last QTR of .03 cents

a share. That’s complicated, if IBD says the EPS is 90 or

above that’s super. The most important rating in my

opinion is the RS (Relative Strength) which is also rated

on a scale of 1 to 99. This rating must be used along

with the ACC/DIS rating. That’s the

Accumulation/Distribution rating which is rated by letters

A thru E. 99A means the stock has a very hi RS and the A

means there is heavy buying. B means buying but a little

less than A. C is neutral with buy and selling equal . D

means there is more selling than buying and E is real bad

because there is heavy selling. Yes, I know I have bored

all you CANSLIM folks, but lets give a new kid on the

block a break. He/she may wise up and go buy an IBD.

The contest stocks have been listed with their EPS and RS

ratings per Friday’s IBD. John O’Reilly is long SINA which

has a poor EPS of 34 but strong RS of 99A+. This rocket

stock may start to burn out unless that RS is an

elephant buying. An elephant is the slang term for money

fund manager, a big money pro, or a guy by the name of

Soros. It has been written that they can run but they

cannot hide. When an elephant moves in the Wall St jungle

he will make noise. That noise is a big green volume spike

or may be a high RS rating in the IBD.

Sparky: CFW 80 99A Super Rating.

SEBL 5 19B Poor Rating

SEBL pulls down her average.

Bruce: MSN 98 99A Best rating of any stock in the

contest. Should go higher.

FWTH 80 98D RS at this point in time,

there is more selling than buying. If that changes look

out for Bruce.

Now you can look at your own stocks .
