Good morning Cos I have come to the point where I don't lose many pots to cracking but when I do I can usually identify the reason. The point that I'm making is; just because I can't identify a reason does not mean that there is not one. The examples you gave seem to say more about our limitations than they do about any predetermination. It may be that you are right I just don't see the logical necessity of it. I'm going to sleep, I've been up all night firing the kiln. Greg
