yes puts are a nice hedge, I agree....

I hate having to try and figure out all this war stuff as relating to the POG, because I think gold would be going up anyway, war or no war....and Slider does have a point in that if the latest rally IS ACTUALLY weak hands buying for the war it could present some bad selling once the war starts....but I think the war might be "different this time" from 1991, too many seem to be expecting a repeat of the previous gulf war experience in regards to US battle success and market behavior both...

hell, we may not even have a war..who knows..maybe Saddam will exile to Russia or something...
