I don't see reducing the number of outstanding shares as a possibility until OEC is posting a profit. OEC does not have the cash to buy back the stock.

I wouldn't mind a reverse 1:8 split in Australia followed by the complete abandonment of the ASX and movement to NYSE, perhaps followed by the move of OEC itself to the US. Most of the value of the company is already in the USA. OE would be trading at at least $2 today after the last two announcements if not for Aussie sellers fueled by sourness on being burned by OEC's overoptimism in the past and the shameless negative spin of their media. Australia's federal government has done diddly for OEC. Here in the US, OE would probably get regular Dept. of Energy and EPA funding, and would get some political support. (For example, Delphi got $3 million US to research OE's systems as part of PNGV, I doubt OE got a cent of that).
