My opinion FWIW : those were unfair comments. Any time a head of state is faced with assasination, others including his/her successors do their best to make sure it does not happen again, as well as do their best to find the culprit.

Briefly, Clinton didn't really care if Saddam tried to blow up Dubya's father, mother, brother, and wife. Why should he care? What's in it for him?
