If you believe Mr. Duray is a pacifist with noble ideals, I suggest you ae insufficiently familiar with him. Check around. PM some people. Ask questions. Look at his profile.

Pacifists with noble ideals are to be respected even when one does not agree with their ideas.
Question: Does that include Mr. Chamberlain, the former British Prime Minister? Pacifism is unrealistic and can come at a very high cost.

Productive dialogue in this case is basically a waste of precious time --- theirs and yours.
What's your suggestion here- -that we leave the site to Ray? Because that is the only solution. He is well known for spreading his tripe onto every thread he can get at.

There is still hope that it will end without a real war.
I suspect it will.

But one cannot have a credible threat of force unless the other side understands that that force WILL be used if required. And there in lies the rub. If Saddam calls the Americans' bluff. What happens? Do they walk away from this or carry through this madness? Lets hope we don't have to find out.
Mr. Bush seems rather good at poker, actually. But I think he will play his aces if he must.

It is 11:44pm. Has it started?
When the UN inspectors leave Iraq, then start worrying.
