Not quite. I'm referring to the presence of U.S. military personnel in 114 countries across the globe, 12 carrier groups on the high seas, a vast surveillance network in outer space and a pervasive imperialism that was anathema to the Founding Fathers of our nation. All of the while we cannot seem to afford to continue basic programs to feed, house and educate the populace of the nation.
