Digital Broadband Networks Signs Reseller Agreement With FaceKey Corporation Wednesday January 22, 10:01 am ET
FLEMINGTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2003--Digital Broadband Networks, Inc. (OTCBB:DBBD - News) www.dbni.net today announced that it has signed a Reseller Agreement with FaceKey Corporation to sell FaceKey's biometric-based products. FaceKey develops products to control access, record time and attendance and restrict use of personal computers by using two biometric technologies -- face recognition and fingerprint matching -- to ensure maximum speed and unerring accuracy. FaceKey has combined the best features of face and fingerprint recognition technologies to provide security and reduce costs for organizations of all sizes, including large enterprises with multiple locations.
Based in San Antonio, TX, FaceKey's products help organizations gain better control over facilities by allowing access only to designated individuals. The result is increased security, reduced fraud and better accountability. Organizations can reduce administrative costs associated with use of magnetic cards, PIN numbers and passwords.
"We believe that the combination of FaceKey's products and our security solution will enable us to offer more choices and better value to our customers," said Patrick Lim, Chairman and CEO of DBBD. "This agreement with FaceKey will strengthen our involvement in the security system market, as the uniqueness of FaceKey's products in combining both face and fingerprint recognition technologies provides a security level equal to the accuracy of a DNA test. We expect the FaceKey products to contribute significantly to our revenue in 2003."
"We are delighted to have DBBD as our partner and hope to leverage our partnership to expand the market for our biometric-based products in Malaysia and throughout Asia," said Yevgeny B. Levitov, President, joint owner and co-founder of FaceKey.
