There are quite a few old bridges that need replacing. Most of them were built when cars and trucks were smaller and traveled a lot slower. A couple of old ones over the Illinois always made me wonder if I'd still be pulling a boat after meeting a semi.

We had snow last week and again today. Naturally my blower won't run and the shop that worked on them closed. It has some sort of problem with the governor adjustment but I can't figure it out.

Oral, That old bridge you mention is like those that Huey P.Long had built in Louisiana many years ago. Last time I went through Baton Rouge, a couple of years ago, the same steel mesh bridge was still there. Also, the highways in Louisiana stink.
