i wonder if this article is characterizing Shiller's comments accurately. the last i have heard (in a relatively recent OpEd piece in the WSJ) Shiller argued that there was in fact NOT a real estate bubble, at least not nationwide. he did point to some coastal markets like Boston and Orange County as likely being bubbles.

it would be interesting if Shiller has changed his mind. in addition to being an excellent macro economist, he is also an expert on the real estate markets.
