Well now don't go gittin' all fast forwarded about all this here impeachment stuff. Y'all got ta realiz' thet sum o' da durt that would be thrown at the Shrub would natchally land on Awl-Slick Dick. I doubt he'd have one shred of credibility with the Amurrican voter during n' after a good impeachment and trial and I can damn sure bet that the impeachment could be strung out to a convenient time, oh, say, Halloween, 2004. That would just about take care of the mess. Now woodnit? Tie da bastuhds up for the duration and then just shove 'em out de door in a real election.

True. Impeachment would have to cover both the Prez and VP. That'd put Speaker of the House Denny Hastert next in line and the president pro tempore of the Senate next, whom I think is now Ted Stevens.

Now that I think about this, I'd certainly prefer a Hastert/Stevens team over the current Bush/Cheney one.
