It'd be worth the homework to check on where those diamonds, that gold, silver, copper, timber and oil come from and how--guaranteed!

>>> Do I feel guilty because I can order a pizza for dinner, or because I drive a nice car, or because I drink a quality beer, while many in the world have a bad day?<<<

The earlier point made by IImarinen regarding obesity should take some hold. Do you really think folks consuming Mediterranean have it all that bad? Do Asians enjoy their meals? Do Latinos? Frankly, I think America would lose the food war--lol!

Regarding a nice car? Well, I think one can only impress a neighbor with their nice car for so long. Any car that works should be sufficient if one is traveling with little to no ego. But that's OK, as your nice car will eventually become someone else's nice car. Anyway, there's lots of nice cars--and they're not all American.

Besides, folks moving on bikes and rollerblades probably have healthier leg muscles and stronger hearts. We should perhaps consider their example, eh?
Now, quality beer? Hey, I gave up Bud and Miller shortly after the 20 mark. Didn't you? And, interestingly, the quality beer I drink comes from other countries. If we each had a Guinness in front of us, I'd tell ya a bit more about them there dictators, the really bad ones. (LOL)
