Bob, no doubt all of that's impressive and no one is questioning how powerful or high-tech equipped the US military is.

But is all this really necesary?

Will it be legal without UN approval?

And if the press is whitewashed, will the US actions be verifiable?

And once the US has done this to Iraq will it move on to another nation?

Robert, you left something out--indeed, we waged the war with a lots of blast--but this war's still going on ... nothing was found and it appears, like many of us stated long ago, that the Bush Administration pre-war position was a distorted one. When waging preemptive warfare, no matter how classy the bombs bursting in air, one has to be 100 percent right. Not so, and the tragedy continues. Gold Star Mothers will soon be knocking on Bush's door and Guardsmen and Reservists, unlike the draftee and enlistees of Vietnam returning to their home bases, will be returning to their communities. Word will spread real fast what what we've done not only was a mistake, but that it was the wrong thing to do.
