Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) No pretense in Germany - they called themselves "Sozialistischer Deutscher Studentenbund" (SDS, Socialist German Student's Association) :-) members.partisan.net Probably the German version was a predecessor of the US organization which preferred a name more compatible with mainstream thinking. (To be clear: I am not sympathizing with them or any other socialist/communist movement; nor am I Catholic.) you did not refute the fact that many front organizations are/were socialist. I targeted the "almost all" description. But I concede that concentrating on a linguistic/logic aspect isn't productive.
