I think the surprise might be that silver benefits from any gold small correction here
silver needs to catch up and break above $500
nobody is expecting such a development
instead they believe gold and silver are tied at the hip
if so, then why wouldnt silver have busted loose upside?

some posters have pted to the touching of the 200 dma and 50 dma (i.e. two times) -- I think there is reason to assume that these mark similar, but not identical periods. If so, this is "like" the period of consolidation around HUI 80-85 after an initial bump, from which the rise to 150 first started

if this is a similar consolidation period, I think the next target is above HUI == 210. I agree that HUI might drop back to the high 120's. My inclination is to think like Jim -- why worry about the fluctuations. Recent sentiment isn't anywhere near crazy bullish and many think it will drop with the first bombs -- just seems to me that is apt to be wrong -- just as wrong as the only thing the economy is suffering from is a "lack of confidence."
