It turns out that they made a similar agreement with Abgenix year 2000. And then they have their agreement with CAT. Why do these people (Abbott that is) want to have an agreement with three different mAb developers. Are the resulting mAbs different enough to warrant the additional complications? Especially in the case of ABGX vs. MEDX one has to wonder. Or at least I do.
