Haim, I'll not get into a debate on the history of the Middle East that I would surely lose. <g> I used to admire Israel greatly, and still do to some extent, but the settlements, the bulldozing of groves and houses, etc, troubles me ... as does Sharon's 'putsch' a couple of years ago -- he went to that mosque looking for trouble, and he got it, imo ... As for Powell, I don't see how you can blame the irresolution of Desert Storm on him. 41 was president, as I recall -- surely Powell wasn't his only adviser?
