I think you should read me a little more carefully I said "and don't think for one minute the middle east does not want the US there - they all want their oil supply safe from aggressive neighbors - they want us there as a silent threatening presence, to be brought out when it is to their benefit and their benefit only - can't have your cake and eat it" if we weren't a 'presence' in that region, all hell would break out within a year - and don't think Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates aren't acutely aware of it
