Uni-Solar to Showcase Its SmartRoofsm Solar Energy Solution at the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 21, 2003 – Uni-Solar the world leader in thin-film solar technologies, announced today that it will showcase its lightweight, easy-to-install SmartRoofsm solar energy systems at Booth #N630 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the upcoming (Jan. 21-24) 2003 International Builders' Show (IBS®).

Uni-Solar representatives will be on hand throughout the IBS® event to discuss the unique benefits of the SmartRoofsm solar roofing solution and the many ways it allows home builders the opportunity to enhance their overall product offering, while helping homeowners achieve affordable solar energy objectives. Representatives will discuss the many existing revenue-generating opportunities for Uni-Solar channel partners and product resellers.

Uni-Solar's SmartRoofsm system can generate 50 to 90 percent of a typical household's daily electrical needs, thus enabling homeowners to save money on their utility bills and, in the process, do something excep-
tional for the environment. Benefits of the system include enhanced aesthetics when compared to traditional rooftop-mounted solar systems, ease of installation, lower maintenance and full integration into a home's roof. It also includes everything homeowners need to generate their own clean, reliable power. (More information on Uni-Solar's SmartRoofsm solution can be found at www.uni-solar.com/bipv_resid.html).

Soon to be available in select regions nationwide, Uni-Solar has already received 27 orders for the SmartRoofsm system in San Diego — an initial product roll-out market.

Question for annual meeting where do we stand in RW-DVD licenses do they expire in 2004? What about all this new technology coming out, like Sanyo's blue-violate laser RW DVD coming in 2005 and others mentioned. Will the new production machine be able to handle varied technology disks.

Where does ECD fit in with all these different technology's coming?
