Well, Mr. Prechter......... you may be right or you may not be, time will tell.

So if you are................ I betcha that the feds will institute either a temporary no cap gains on stocks if you hold over such and such a time period or lowers the cap gains rates......... right at THE bottom. Course for the majority of people it won't matter since they won't have the money to invest (if your scenario is right.... they ain't gonna have the bucks to throw at a market that is down down down down for so many years, they'll be trying to keep their mortgage current and keep their jobs) or they'll have so many carry forward losses it won't make a difference what the cap gains tax rate is.

Whatcha think the lows are on the indexes?

The market can still go lower just on valuation even if the fundamentals improve, but even when the market was in a funk in the early 90s, there were some nice winners. I bet the same thing happens even if you're right.
