The Hersh reportorial vacuum cleaner

You have to read him carefully, don't you? In this case, I don't see any "facts" that we have not picked up here. However, he does seem to get more details. Size and shape of centrifuges, for instance. His analysis seems to come from Clinton people, it is all their viewpoint that is expressed. Bush, et, al, are the villains. He quotes Bush as "Shouting" in a Woodward sequence that Bush did not "shout" in, (I read the book) and this changes the tenor of the sequence. And he slants with adjectives, "The Administration was deeply, viciously ideological."

However, we do get this one "Clinton Official" admission: "The deal was that we'd give them two reactors and they, in turn, have to knock off this shit," he said. "They've got something going, and it's in violation of the deal."

But the whole tenor is that this is all the Bush Administration's fault, and he ends up with this lovely bit.

>>The public talk of compromise is being matched by much private talk of high-level vindication. "Bush and Cheney want that guy's head",Kim Jong Il's," on a platter. Don't be distracted by all this talk about negotiations. There will be negotiations, but they have a plan, and they are going to get this guy after Iraq. He's their version of Hitler."<<

My conclusion is that this report is contains a lot more of Hersh's slant than the last couple I have read. I guarantee you one thing though. John will looooove it!
