Sullivan certainly doesn't deserve to be compared to Cockburn or a nut like Ramsey Clark.

I agree with the no comparison with Cockburn point. Clark is a more difficult comparison. I think the Alterman line was simply a throwaway, so it doesn't make much sense to parse it for fine meanings. But I don't think Sullivan is to the right in this country as Clark is the left, that comparison certainly doesn't make sense.

I hate this characterization. Many are anti-things America is doing but that's it. I'm not anti-American, I am AMericanAmericanAmerican.

If Ramsey Clarke is the nut on the left who is his peer, the nut on the right? So I coan put things in context.
