But everything *IS* relative - isn't it ? Your anchors and boundaries are set by your own conscience.

Most people do not kill. Not because they'll go to jail, but because their conscience does not allow for it ? There's no law about lying, except under oath, but most of us hate lies anyway. And yet, killing and lying is justifiable in certain circumstances. So it *is* relative.

Religions do innovate all the time. Most of what is considered mainstream and acceptable today, was considered immoral once upon a time. Just like any large, lazy, bureaucratic organization, organised religion just takes a longer time to incorporate changes in thoughts and values, than an individual would, thats all.

Change is the basis of the universe. Anything that doesn't grow, has to die. Its a law of nature.

Islam really hasn't changed much though......and look what a mess it is in.
