To keep up with those productivity increases, we have had to run faster on the treadmill... Maybe but I think you might be ignoring how fast people have "run" for a long time. Even if we are going faster we are not running longer. Hours worked per year by the average full time employee has gone down (there is information on that in at least one of the links from my earlier post). But its possible that we are working harder when at work or doing more work at home that is not being counted against the official hours worked. Tim
