The candidates get 12 points for a perfect SAT score, and 20 points for being black.


All of the categories mentioned in the CNN article were limited to 40 points. What happened to the other 110 points? I suspect that the 12 points for a perfect score is either added onto the score itself, or is reported in error, perhaps it should be 120 points. At any rate, most of the point system is not explained.
