Having attended many of the early '70s rallies, my observation of the rally from C-Span clearly showed there were a minimum of 150,000 in DC. Indeed, the crowd stretched to the Washington Monument, but due to the camera angles I couldn't determine the exact width of the crowd. But I'll tell ya this much, if you're going that deep to the monument, you're likely sporting hundreds of thousands, not tens of thousands.

Besides, when has the American media--until egg gets on its face, as with Vietnam--been friendly to protesters?
