in the UK (where I am) you almost NEVER READ about the major and huge demos against the war.
Or if you do they lie through their teeth about the size.
Buta few thingsthings
1) The demos REALLY happened.
2) Our rulers know the truth (and hey-it's them we are trying to frighten after all)
3) word spreads-and it makes them/their media look stupid and like liars
4) they ARE BIG and DO RADICALISE millions across the world.
is it the revolution? No not yet..........but soon.
dont get frustrated. after all we all know CNN et al are full of shit-and they only end up looking stupid.

The Plight of Islam in Europe

In order to come to terms with this bankruptcy of present-day foreign policy, western society has begun to search for pariahs. As Kunstler (1994) observes, "it seems that the American public perennially needs identifiable villains to stimulate its gastric juices." Consequently, Islam and Muslims have become the latest target.

Unlike previous enemies and opponents, which were based on nation-states and stimulated through nationalism and a call for patriotism, today's "evil empire" is based on civilizations and fueled by racism.

Excerpt:

Hence, the neo-imperialistic notion of a clash of civilizations is an indicator that western civilization is in its death throes. Huntington's short-term recommendation for the West "to promote greater cooperation and unity with its own civilization" is a prelude to collapse. In "A Study of History", Arnold Toynbee had demonstrated that in all past civilizations the achievement of unity marked the beginning of the end. Moreover, a brief "flowering period" in the arts further signaled a civilization's inevitable decline and fall.

Western civilization is now experiencing its flowering period through media art, and its concern for unity (both politically in Europe with the EC and economically in North America with NAFTA) is further evidence of its advanced state of decline. For Islam, however, the decline of western civilization also poses a danger. Having convinced themselves that a clash of civilizations is bound to happen, neo-Cold War warriors are determined to stave off the inevitable, thereby threatening to bring others with them down the road to ruin.
