Actually I do not wear a coat as a rule regardless of how cold it is. But I do have my emergency kit in the box of my truck which includes gloves, coveralls, boots, etc., plus the usual flares, jumper cables and stuff. Made about a mile walk at 1 in the morning some years back in a short sleeve shirt and no coat when it was about 30 and freezing rain. Decided that was not very smart.
