NYTimes article today on just this point.

Yeah, sounds like the Washington Post. "Bush pushes agenda, Women and minorities most affected!"

What I have read says that Bush, et al, are going with their conservative Judicial candidates without regard to the Dems. They figure they will have a "fight to the death" on them anyway, so why give in at all?
